A Safe Place To
Be Yourself in Texas

The Dallas-Fort Worth Autistic Support Group has served as an essential lifeline and community for autistic adults and adolescents in the Dallas and Fort Worth area for over 10 years. This group has a rich history and a legacy of providing much-needed advocacy, support, and social opportunities, firmly grounded in our shared experiences as autistic individuals.

In 2021, the survival of one of the oldest and largest support groups for autistic people in Texas was uncertain.

It was on the brink of closure, threatening to leave our community without this crucial resource.

Recognizing the irreplaceable value of the group, NeuroUnify stepped up to keep its doors open. We chose to sponsor the group and it was a small price to pay to ensure a safe space for autistic individuals to continue learning, growing, and discovering their community.

Our group's strength lies in its inclusivity. While our meetings focus on autism-related issues, we openly welcome allistic allies. We understand the value of fostering a diverse community and the importance of shared understanding and empathy in our journey.

Beyond our in-person meetings, we also host open forums on platforms like Facebook and Discord, extending our reach and ensuring that our supportive community is accessible to all, no matter where they are. We are continuously exploring innovative ways to support and uplift our community.

The sponsorship of the DFW Autistic Support Group by NeuroUnify goes beyond financial support; it represents a commitment to fulfilling the social and communal needs of autistic individuals in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. We understand the challenges many face in connecting with others on the spectrum, and we acknowledge the feelings of fear and isolation that can often accompany autism.

Through our group, we aim to mitigate these struggles. We provide a safe and understanding space where each member can find their voice, engage with their peers, and learn from shared experiences.

We're here to help, to support, and to grow together.

We believe in the power of thinking differently, together.

Whether you're in a position to afford individual coaching or are simply seeking a safe space to express yourself, you will always find a welcoming community with us.
